July White and the Letter

In July 2016, based on the assumption that "painting" is an accumulation of actions, or "layered actions," and that these actions arise from the daily space and time we live, I moved my brush on the canvas and documented them in writing. I also focused on the idea that our endlessly repeated daily acts come up as if we were sending a letter to someone other than ourselves.

「絵画」は行為の積み重ね、あるいは「重層化した行為」であり、その行為は人が生きる毎日の空間と時間から発生するものである、という仮定のもと、2016年の7月、キャンバス上で筆を動かし、文章により記録した。我々の終わりなく繰り返される日々の行為は、自分以外の誰かへ向けて手紙を送るように成されるもの、という視点から制作した。
